One more sleep until Cambodia
OMG… after months of preparation I’ve only one more sleep in my comfy bed then it’s goodbye Shropshire and hello Cambodia. Must admit I’m feeling a little nervous and apprehensive but also so excited about getting to the Hope Agency in Bakod Village and meeting Jason and all of the Children!
All my essentails are packed but one last check:
Sleeping mat, mosquito net, anti-mozzy sprays, wet wipes, malaria tablets and enough pills and potions to open a pharamacy (better safe than sorry). Oh yes where’s that visa and passport!
Now just need to finish packing a suitcase for the children – plenty of books, pens, pencils, paper, games, clothes, shoes, toothpaste etc. Fingers crossed that it doesn’t weigh a ton and I can get it on board as excess baggage. All the rest of the clothes and shoes that you’ve all kindly donated will be shipped by air once I’ve arrived.
My trip starts tomorow at 05:00am with the drive to Heathrow airport (hubby’s drivng me) then a couple of planes (just a quick change in Kuala Lumpur) will see me in Phnom Penh, Cambodia for 10:20am (local time) on Tuesday. Fingers crossed I’ll be met by Jason and then it’s a 2 hour drive to the village and the school.
I’ll be writting this blog as often as I can during my trip so come back soon to see what’s happening with me and the Hope Agency projects. So it’s an early night tonight and then my adventure begins.
